You'll also help define and deliver a suite of “Gold Standard” reports and be responsible for designing and building robust ETL/ELT processes that support trusted, scalable data pipelines
You will also be pivotal in designing, building and maintaining the College's data infrastructure and architecture, ensuring the quality, integrity and availability of information to support our strategic analytics and operational objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Design & Build: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes for our new cloud data platform to collect, process and store data from multiple sources.

- Optimise Performance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise data pipelines to ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with technology and business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Ensure Best Practices: Implement and advocate for data engineering best practices in data modelling, data governance, and security.
- Document & Report: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, system architecture, and processes. Generate reports on data quality, pipeline performance, and migration status to ensure transparency and support project governance.
- Develop and deliver visualisation dashboards in accordance with best practice methodologies ensuring requirements are gathered and met and reports are tested and delivered to agreed standards and timeframes.
- Create robust processes for data quality assurance and resolve incidents assigned within agreed timeframes.
- Develop and implement data models with the Data Architect in agreed timeframes
- Contribute towards master data management by educating end users and maintaining data integrity
