We’re looking for a Student Services Officer to join the Operations team! Reporting to the Student Adviser Team Lead, the purpose of the role is to provide exceptional customer service to College students and stakeholders through the efficient management of student enquiries and in the provision of effective administrative and operational support to Student Administration and Student Compliance teams.
About the role
The Student Services Officer works as part of the front-line, student facing team responsible for resourcing UTS College’s campus-based Student Centre, which primarily serves as the single point of contact for all non-academic related student enquiries, with a focus on providing timely, expert advice and multi modal service delivery (in-person, phone or online) to all current, returning and past students concerning any administrative aspects related to their student journey at UTS College.
Key responsibilities of the role are:
Ensure the campus-based Student Centre is resourced sufficiently and operated professionally to optimise the student experience, enhances front-line customer service delivery and can effectively support a range of key student lifecycle activities
Refer to relevant ESOS, National Code, UTS College policies, procedures and regulations and documented user procedures to provide accurate and timely information and guidance when responding to a range of student face-to-face, phone and online enquiries.
Regularly quality assure that student records are efficiently maintained in a compliant and consistent manner and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives when issues are identified
Process student requests and perform administrative tasks and/or operational duties that support all functions within the remit of Student Services and Administration
Analyse incoming correspondence and independently initiate appropriate actions relating to student enquires and requests,
Efficiently process compliance activities relating to international student enrolment cases,
Contribute towards a welcoming and supportive environment within Student Centre
About you
You will have:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
Well-developed oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with students and staff from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent interpersonal skills ensuring quality customer service
Proven organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility to manage competing priorities and strict deadlines.
Proficiency in a second language preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, learning management systems and digital tools.
